RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
The RCIA is the normal means for adults to learn the beliefs and practices of the Catholic faith and prepares to receive any or all of the Sacraments of Initiation (baptism, confirmation, and first communion) on the journey to becoming Roman Catholic. Participants meet once each week for talks on the beliefs of the Catholic faith, explanations of Catholic symbols and saints, fellowship and fun activities, as well as times for prayer and discussion together. Who should participate?
• Baptized Catholics who have not received the other sacraments (First Communion and/or Confirmation)
• Baptized Christians who wish to become Catholic
• Unbaptized persons of any faith background who want to join the Catholic Church
RCIA will meet Wednesday evenings at 7pm in the Msgr. Swetland Assembly Room.
